As the UN enters a new era — with the appointment of a new Secretary-General — questions of reform have taken on renewed urgency. In April, the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) hosted an in-depth discussion on UN reform, including the potential modernization of the UN Charter. The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) was set up in 2012 under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General to mobilize global scientific and technological expertise to promote practical solutions for sustainable development, including the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement. SDSN works closely with United Nations agencies, multilateral financing institutions, the private sector, and civil society. Click here for the webinar recording. (April 23, 2026, 1 hour 30 minutes)
